Welcome back everyone! We are officially half way done our KAL! Hope you have all been able to keep up and that you're enjoying this journey! Today we are here for our seventh section, and will be releasing a new section every Monday at 2:00pm Central Time.

Here's our schedule:

May 4/15 - Basketweave/Checkerboard
May 11/15 - Speckled Stripe Square
May 18/15 - Cable Square
May 25/15 - Rain Drops
June 1/15 - Trinity Square
June 8/15 - Fair Isle Tubes
June 15/15 - THIS POST
June 22/15 - Section 8
June 29/15 - Section 9
July 6/15 - Section 10
July 13/15 - Section 11
July 20/15 - Section 12
July 27/15 - Joining and Border

If you are making the scarf, you will need to work all 12 sections in a continuous strip. So you will cast on for section 1 and you will not cast off until the end of section 12. If you're making the afghan you will be making a total of 8 strips, each 6 weeks long. So you will need to work 4 strips of weeks 1-6 and 4 strips of weeks 7-12. Casting on at the beginning of week 1 and 7 and casting off at the end of week 6 and 12. So you will need stitch holders, especially if you don't want your needles tied up for 12 weeks.

The seventh of our sections is called 'Lace Flower Square' written by Jessica Campbell of Crocheted Creations by Jessica. You can find the pattern here on this page, or you can download a printer friendly version here. Also be sure to check out her blog and Ravelry Page for more patterns!

If you have any questions regarding the pattern or the KAL in general, please post to the facebook group as you will receive the quickest response time from there. Thank you for joining us this week, look forward to seeing your progress in our facebook group and in seeing you again next week!

Flower Lace Square
designed by Jessica Campbell of Crocheted Creations by Jessica

Finished Size: Approximately 7 inches square

Pattern Notes:
This square will be worked using the stitches left on your needle from last week if you are making a scarf.  You will not bind off your stitches at the end but instead leave them on your needle for next week's clue.  If you are making an afghan, begin by CO 28 and knit 5 rows before beginning the pattern below.

Materials:
          Worsted Weight Yarn (less than 1 skein)
          Size 8 (5.0mm) knitting needles

Stitches Used:

k = knit
p = purl
yo = yarn over
ssk = slip, slip, knit (slip next 2 sts knitwise, transfer back to the left needle and knit the 2 sts together through the back loop.)

Pattern:

Rows 1, 3 and 11 (RS): Knit across.

Rows 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18 (WS): k2, p24, k2

Rows 5 and 9: k5, *yo, ssk, k6; rep from * to last 5 sts, k5.

Rows 13 and 17: k9, *yo, ssk, k6; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.

Row 15: k7, *k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k3; repeat from * to last 5 sts, k5.

Rows 19-36: Repeat rows 1-18 one more time.

For the KAL, do NOT bind off your stitches but instead leave them on your needle.  If you are completing this as a standalone square, bind off knitwise.
