CAL Square 11

Welcome here for the release of our eleventh square for this CAL! We will be releasing one square every Monday at 2:00 pm central time!

Here's our schedule:

If you're making the scarf you will need a total of 12 squares, so you will need 1 of each square. If you're making the afghan you will need a total of 48 squares, so you will need 4 of each square. But if some of the squares don't appeal to you, you can substitute that square for another that you do love. The choice is really up to you!

Granny Shell

Ch = chain
dc = double crochet
sc = single crochet
sh st = shell stitch (5dc in same st)
st = stitch
sl st = slip stitch
sp = space
hdc = half double crochet
tr = treble crochet

ch 5, sl st to form circle.



















Rnd 1: ch 3, 2dc in circle, ch 3, 3dc in same circle, ch 3, 3dc in same circle, ch3, 3dc in same circle, ch 3 sl st join to top of starting ch 3.



















Rnd 2: ch 4,
dc 3 in ch 3 sp sc 3 dc 3 in same ch 3 sp,
ch 1 dc 3 in next ch 3 sp ch 3 dc 3 in same ch 3 sp,
ch 1 dc 3 in next ch 3 sp ch 3 dc 3 in same ch 3 sp,
ch 1 dc 3 in next ch 3 sp ch 3 dc 2 in same ch 3 sp, sl st in 3rd ch of ch 4.



















Rnd 3: ch 1, sc in ch1 sp, shell st in middle st of 3dc, *sc in ch 3 corner sp sh st in middle of 3dc*, repeat from * to *  6 times, sl st in top of starting ch 1. you will have a total of 8 shells.



















Rnd 4: ch2, dc, hdc, sc, hdc, dc, tr ch3 tr in same st, *dc, hdc, sc, hdc, dc in next 3 st, hdc, sc, hdc, dc, tr ch3 tr in same st*, repeat * to * 2 times, dc, hdc, sc, hdc, dc, sl st to top of starting ch2



















Rnd 5: ch 2, dc to corner, 2 dc ch2 2 dc in corner, dc to corner, 2 dc ch2 2 dc in corner, dc to corner, 2 dc ch2 2 dc in corner, dc to corner, 2 dc ch2 2 dc in corner, dc to starting ch 2, sl st join to top of ch 2.




















fasten off and weave in ends.
