If you are making the scarf, you will need to work all 12 sections in a continuous strip. So you will cast on for section 1 and you will not cast off until the end of section 12. If you're making the afghan you will be making a total of 8 strips, each 6 weeks long. So you will need to work 4 strips of weeks 1-6 and 4 strips of weeks 7-12. Casting on at the beginning of week 1 and 7 and casting off at the end of week 6 and 12. So you will need stitch holders, especially if you don't want your needles tied up for 12 weeks.

The tenth of our sections is called 'Bee Stitch Square' written by Celia Benton. You can find the pattern here on this page, or you can download a printer friendly version here.

If you have any questions regarding the pattern or the KAL in general, please post to the facebook group as you will receive the quickest response time from there. Thank you for joining us this week, look forward to seeing your progress in our facebook group and in seeing you again next week!

Bee Stitch Square
By: Celia Benton

Stitches needed:
K: knit
K1b: knit 1 below
Knit 1 below is done by inserting the needle into the stitch below the one that is on the hook and knitting normally. The result is that both the stitch below and the current stitch are captured. Do not insert your needle in the loop between stitches, but below the next stitch. See picture below.

Row 1: k2, [k1b, k1] repeat 12 times, k2
Row 2 and all even (ws) rows: k28
Row 3: change color, k3, [k1b, k1] repeat 12 times, k1
Row 4: same as row 2

Repeat rows 1-4 until you reach the desired length, switching colors every two rows and carrying the colors up the side.

After achieving the desired length, knit two rows

**Do not cast off, move to stitch holder if necessary as we will continue to work off of this next week**
